Dr Maria Matsangidou has conducted her PhD on a topic that relates to Virtual Reality (VR) technology for the management of pain caused by excessive muscle contraction at the University of Kent (UK). Dr Matsangidou has obtained an MA in Social and Developmental Psychology from the University of Cyprus, an MA in Communication and New Journalism from the Open University of Cyprus and a BS in Communication and Internet Studies from the Cyprus University of Technology.  Her main research interests are the use of technology for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, chronic conditions and mental health disorders.
