The CYENS Thinker Maker Space is hosting its first inhouse exhibition, presenting works from the Artists in Residency program. The exhibition will feature the work of Marisa Satsia and Ibrahim Ince in a curated showcase which demonstrates their artistic process and outcomes whilst working at the makerspace.
 
CYENS Thinker Maker Space is a multifunctional creative space that works towards providing support and building collaborations with local entrepreneurs, designers, artists and researchers.  The aim is to support the creative local community to develop projects relating to technology led innovation and digital fabrication techniques. The makerspace residencies are hosted on a short-term basis ranging from two weeks and up to six months. Resident artists have full access to the makerspace facilities, allowing experimentation with advanced production methods. At the end of the residency program the artists have the opportunity to present and exhibit their work at the exhibition space situated at the center of Nicosia.
 
The exhibition will take place on the 22nd of September at the Thinker Maker Space Exhibition area.
Opening night – Wednesday 22nd of September | 5:30 PM
Exhibition Workshop with Marisa Satsia - Tuesday 28th of September | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Closing date – Wednesday 29th of September
Opening times Monday to Friday 10 AM – 4 PM

The project “Nicosia entrepreneurship and innovation Hub” that includes including the operation pf the Thinker Maker Space of the CYENS Centre of Excellence, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the EU in the framework of the Operational Programme “Competitiveness and Sustainable Development 2014-2020”, Priority Axis 6: “Integrated Sustainable Urban Development for the Programming Period 2014-2020, from the Cyprus Government and Nicosia Municipality.
 
CYENS CoE was established through the RISE project that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement No 739578 and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus through the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.
