A very inspiring topic for us here at RISE is sharing all the progress and hard work we put in meeting our goals and vision. If you've been wondering what our team has been up to then why not have a read. You’ll soon realise that during the first two years of its operation, RISE was very active in developing and submitting research proposals in various National and European calls for funding.
In total RISE has submitted 41 proposals for funding in programs such as Horizon 2020, Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, Marie Skłodowska Curie, Joint Programming Initiative etc.
Out of the 30 evaluated proposals RISE achieved a success rate of 17% managing to secure €500,000. The evaluation of 11 more proposals is pending and there is a significant possibility that these statistics will be improved.

The Crowdhelix Network is an international collaboration platform that endeavours to help organisations achieve their ambitions in the EU’s “Horizon 2020” research and innovation funding programme. A foundation of research intensive academic institutions is complemented by a core of corporate partners and SMEs, creating a novel cross-sector and international partnership structure for developing project consortia and networking activities. RISE has joined Crowdhelix since early September 2019. The network covers a plethora of scientific areas, grouped under helixes.
The Mediterranean Maritime Surveillance (MED MS) Cluster fosters the innovation and R&D capacities, knowledge and technology transfer, as well as transnational cooperation among the involved MS actors. The MED MS Cluster is composed of National Nodes operating in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Cyprus, offering a mix of services to their members such as networking, technical & capacity building seminars, business coaching seminars, funding opportunities workshops and access to the cluster’s platform which acts as a market place and offer & demand matching service. RISE joined the MED MS Cluster on June 2019.
