With great pleasure, representatives of  the Multidisciplinary Research Groups of Cyens have participated in the Kick-off of stakeholders event organized by Junior Achievement Cyprus (JA). JA is part of the largest organization worldwide dedicated to educating students on entrepreneurship through experiential programmes.

The purpose of the  event was  to take initiative in a new programme by JA named ‘Beyond Pre- Accelerator’. The programme will be piloted in Cyprus in 2021-22 academic year and aims to give University students ( BA,MA, Phd) the opportunity to work on finding solutions to healthcare challenges focusing in oncology while experiencing building their own start-up company. This will be achieved by improving the journey of patients through driving innovations in: preventions, early diagnosis, treatment/rehabilitation/ phycological support/ reintegration/ palliative care/ cases reports/ data collection/ research methods.

In the prospect of expanding our activities in the national context of innovation, we aim to formulate strategic allies that enhance our activities  in the field of entrepreneurship and commercialization with the signage of a Memorandum of Understanding in this programme.

We are very proud to be in the position to contribute as a strategic partner in this consortium and to potentially help bringing any innovative start-ups in the real world.
