With the growth of the RISE family and the introduction of our newest colleagues, RISE CEO Mr. Spyros Nicolaou, opened the 3rd all-RISE-employee meeting.
 
The all-RISE-employee meetings take place every two months and their mission is to update personnel on the organization’s achievements, goals and most importantly – it is a great opportunity to gather all departments and update them on all things RISE.
 
The presentation covered various key issues including the recent business activities and financial results of RISE, target fulfilments, the importance of close collaboration among teams and knowledge sharing, updates regarding RISE Industry Engagement and Industry Collaborations as well as strategic Initiatives.
 
Important announcements included that of:
 
  • The RISE membership in the CLAIRE Research Network. CLAIRE (Confederation of Laboratories for Artificial Intelligence Research in Europe) is a network of centres of excellence, strategically located throughout Europe, which are committed to working together towards realising the vision of CLAIRE: European excellence across all of AI, for all of Europe, with a human-centred focus.
 
  • Zenonas Theodosiou (Research associate) elaborated on the Mediterranean Maritime Surveillance (MED MS) Cluster and how RISE can benefit with its membership.  
 
  • Styliani Petroudi (Senior project manager) elaborated on the Vision2020: Crowdhelix Network, which is an international collaboration platform that endeavours to help organisations achieve their ambitions in the EU’s “Horizon 2020” research and innovation funding programme and the important of the newly achieved RISE membership.
 
  • Maria Ioannou (Marketing Officer) presented the marketing strategy covering the new board-approved logo(s), blog and newsletter which will be launched this month. Maria also announced the 1st RISE employee gathering on October 18th – marking the beginning of a series of team building activities taking place in the future.
