REPAIRING THE PRESENT: OPEN CALL ANNOUNCEMENT

News / News / REPAIRING THE PRESENT: OPEN CALL ANNOUNCEMENT
15 October. 2021
Calling international artists working at the intersection between science, techonology and the arts to apply for a 6-month fellowships adressing one of the 21 challenges defined by 12 Regional STARTS Centers and their local networks of experts, business and community leaders. Repairing the Pressent was born from the belief that the solutions to the social, economic and environmental issues our world is facing must come from an understading of the local and regional specificities before they can be translated at a global level. We invite artists to think globally and act locally to repair the present and build the future our world needs.

The fellowships will encourage artists to critique the present, challenge existing practices in different industries, explore beyond current limitations, reimagine sustainable futures, learn from the reseach field and work closely with experts to bring to the table artistic solutions to issues that affect us all. Each fellowship will have a budget of 40.000 EUR. Artists can apply to up to 3 different challenges. Artists applying for more than one challenge are only elligible for one fellowship.
