Lorenz Widmaier

Biography

Lorenz Widmaier is a PhD student in the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts at the Cyprus University of Technology.

He holds a research fellowship from the European Training Network H2020 POEM, which researches participatory memory practices. He attained an MA in Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmiths College, UK and a BA in Communication & Cultural Management from Zeppelin University, Germany.

His research interests include thanatology, visual sociology, digital media, and photography.
